Design Manager Process / Mechanical

My client, large windfarm developer, are looking for 2 Design Managers.

• one Design manager for process/mecanical/electrical disciplin
• one Design manager for civil discipline

Responsibility:

• General management and coordination of the project engineering between the professional groups
• Ensure that Bioenergy's Technology people are involved in the solution of technical problems
• Prepare the detailed description of the technical solutions together with the Concept Manager / Project Manager
• Quality assurance of the technical report and technical tender documents
• Ensure that the project engineering observes the requirements for the description of the technical solutions
• Ensure an optimum layout for the entire plant
• Ensure that QHSE requirements are duly taken into account

Tasks

• Participate in project management meetings
• Hold design management meetings with the design group consisting of the Design Manager, (Concept Manager), Engineering Managers for the specialist groups M, E, C&I and B (civil works) and the Planning Manager
• Participate in the preparation of concept descriptions together with the Concept Manager / Project Manager
• Ensure preparation of a detailed description of the technical solution with assistance from Concept Manager / Project Manager
• Participate in selected meetings on the site
• Participate in the project meetings with suppliers
• Participate in technical contract negotiations
• Represent the Employer's role in connection with technical issues/questions during the project execution
• Follow up on project engineering resources
• Follow up on time schedules and ensure corrective actions
• Participate in the evaluation of technical tenders
• Participate in the review of layout together with the operating organization
• Participate in the review of the plant together with the safety organisation of the plant regarding work environment
