Job Description: Generator Winder
Position Overview
EarthStream Global are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Generator Winder to join our team. The ideal candidate must have direct hands-on experience with GE or Siemens generator units and preferably be OEM-trained. This role requires a motivated individual capable of traveling globally at short notice and managing complex assignments in diverse environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform winding and rewinding of generator rotors, stators, and other electrical components for GE or Siemens units.
- Conduct inspections, maintenance, repairs, and testing on generators to ensure optimal performance.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics specific to GE or Siemens units.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
- Utilise advanced winding techniques to meet or exceed OEM standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of direct experience working with GE or Siemens generator units.
- OEM training from GE or Siemens is highly preferred.
- Proficient in the use of tools and equipment for generator winding.
- Strong knowledge of generator construction, materials, and performance characteristics.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Attributes
- Certification or formal training in generator winding techniques.
- Familiarity with other OEM generator units or hybrid technologies.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in various environmental conditions.
- Willingness to travel globally, often on short notice, and work extended hours as needed.
